Josh Bell’s Journey to Lafayette Parts Manager

The Wiers Lafayette team just got stronger. Josh Bell has stepped into the Parts Manager role, bringing years of industry experience and a customer-first approach that aligns perfectly with our commitment to making #TRUCKSROLL.

When your fleet needs parts fast and right the first time, Josh delivers. His background spans automotive repair management and three years with Wiers as a Service Advisor. Now he’s focused on one mission: getting your trucks back on the road with minimal downtime.

Deep Industry Roots Drive Results

Josh didn’t start in trucking yesterday. He began working in the automotive repair industry at a young age, managing day-to-day operations for a family business for 12 years. That meant writing service orders, sourcing parts, and serving customers directly.

“I managed everything from customer interactions to parts sourcing,” Josh explains. “You learn quickly that customers need solutions, not excuses.”

For the past three years at Wiers, Josh worked as a Service Writer, gaining deep knowledge of our processes and building relationships with customers and technicians alike.

Customer Service Meets Parts Expertise

What gets Josh excited about his new role? Three things: serving customers, learning new skills, and building stronger teams.

“My top priority is ensuring we source the right parts for timely repairs and provide top-notch customer service,” Josh says. “When a fleet manager calls, they need answers and action.”

That customer-first mindset shows in how Josh approaches fleet reliability. He focuses on sourcing correct parts quickly while maintaining smart inventory levels for commonly needed components.

Building Relationships That Matter

Ask Josh what he loves most about the trucking industry and his answer is simple: the trucks and the relationships built with customers and fleet owners.

Josh describes his management approach as focused on clear expectations, measurable results, and direct communication.

“Every fleet is different,” Josh notes. “Some are local, others operate across the country. Understanding each fleet’s specific needs helps me stock the right parts and provide better service. Fleet managers don’t have time for confusion,” he explains. “They need to know what parts we have, when they’ll arrive, and how quickly we can get their trucks moving again.”

Lafayette Market Opportunity

The Lafayette market represents significant growth potential, and that’s exactly what motivates Josh daily. “Lafayette has a large market with room for growth,” Josh says. “Customer satisfaction drives everything we do here.”

His work ethic? Reliable, fast, efficient.

Those three words perfectly describe what fleet managers need from their parts supplier – and exactly what Josh delivers.
